Until the end of October, Yandex Delivery will launch long-distance delivery through Market order pickup points. The service can be issued through the Yandex Go application, where you can also monitor the status of the package. This was reported to RB.RU in the press service of the company.
To request long-distance delivery, customers must select the “Issue Points” tariff in the “Yandex Go” application, the addresses of convenient “Market” pickup points for sending and receiving the package, as well as its size . The size of the packages is presented in three categories, but the weight of a box will not exceed 12 kg.
The package must then be taken to the selected collection point of the Market, where the employees will pack and send the package to the collection point or parcel terminal in the recipient’s city.
The cost of delivery between collection points depends on the city and the size of the package. For example, delivery of a small package from Moscow to St. Petersburg will cost 240 rubles.
Now the service is being tested through the application in Moscow and St. Petersburg, at the end of 2022, in the entire network of Yandex Market collection points in more than 40 cities of the country. In 2023, packages between cities can be sent door to door.
The company believes long-distance delivery will be popular among small online store owners, as well as small business entrepreneurs who sell products primarily through social media and instant messaging.
