As of this Monday (the 24th), iPhone users can now download iOS 16.1. Announced by Apple last week, the version fixes the bugs in the update while also bringing new features to the company’s smartphones.

Among the innovations, iOS 16.1 brings tools such as: Live Eventsshows third-party apps and their related activities on the lock screen – such as the distance of an Uber. The update also brings iCloud Shared Photo Library, new accessibility features for Dynamic Island (on iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max), and more.

Also this Monday, Apple launched Fitness+ for Brazil and other regions without the need to use an Apple Watch. The idea is to also cover smartphone users who don’t have a branded smartwatch. The monthly subscription fee to the physical exercise service is R$29.90.

Compatible with iOS 16, 2nd generation iPhone SE and iPhone 8 onwards. One of the new tools Apple has introduced is the display of battery percentage in the status bar next to the “notch” on recent models.

In addition to the new iOS 16.1, iPad users will also be able to download iPadOS 16 starting today. Apple also launched the general release of macOS (13) Ventura, watchOS 9.1, and tvOS 16.1.

How to download iOS 16.1

The new iOS 16.1 download is now available for users all over the world. iPhone should show a notification informing you about the update, but if it doesn’t, you can also download it directly from your phone:

1. Open “Settings” app on iPhone;

2. Tap on “General”;

3. Select “Software Update” and wait for the search to end;
