HE Windows 11 will get a new feature for Phone Link platform this allows turn on mobile hotspot without having to touch the device. At first, the novelty only works with Samsung devices with One UI 4.1.1 or higher and is tested by the Windows Insider program.
The structure that brings innovation is Windows 11 25231. Those participating in the early access program for new versions of Windows can now test the innovation directly in the list of available links. The mobile phone must first be synchronized with the PC via Phone Link — see how.
“The instant hotspot feature allows you to connect securely without having to touch your phone’s Wi-Fi network. When your phone is in range, it will appear in the list of Wi-Fi connections on your computer, where a simple click turns on the mobile hotspot and connects to it.” – Explains in Microsoft’s official article on innovation.
This feature currently only works on devices with One UI 4.1.1 or later. So, Samsung Galaxy phones a little bit newer than the Galaxy S21, for example. To use it, the PC must support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Phone Link app on the PC should also be up to date.
The novelty is being tested for Windows Insiders and does not yet have a release date to all Windows 11 users, but it will arrive soon via automatic updates.
