Entering a promising travel market: how to attract tourists from Iran

According to the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR), in the first half of 2022, 5.9 million foreigners visited Russia. From April to June this year, most of the tourists came from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Germany, Uzbekistan and Iran.

In general, ATOR experts note that the entry of foreign tourists to Russia has decreased by 25 times compared to the pre-Covid period.

How can Russian representatives of the tourism industry return to pre-Dovid indicators? Based on the above data, we can assume that for this it is necessary to refocus on foreign tourists who are already interested in traveling around Russia, and these are, first of all, citizens of the eastern regions.
