In general, cleaning a computer mouse should be done regularly. In addition, it can be external and internal.
For external cleaning (it should be done at least once or twice a month), it is necessary to go through all hard-to-reach places with a toothpick, it is recommended to clean the various recesses with a dry cotton swab, and then wipe. The entire surface of the mouse is moistened with a cotton pad or lint-free cloth in an alcohol-containing solution (best – in isopropyl alcohol with a concentration of not more than 75%).
The insides of the mouse should also be cleaned regularly: at least once a year. Signs such as stuck buttons, difficulties with wheel scrolling, and incorrect sensor operation can indicate contamination of internal elements.
To clean the internal elements, you need to carefully separate the wheel from the other elements of the case. After that, you can use a soapy solution and a non-hard brush to clean wires and all plastic elements without microcircuit parts. You will need to use isopropyl or other technical alcohol to clean the circuit. Such alcohol is applied in a small amount to the edge of the disk or a cotton swab, and then the entire surface is wiped with it.
