Xiaomi can get rid of the annoying ads appearing in its different apps once and for all when we use MIUI. The information is yet to be confirmed, but it indicates that MIUI 14 will get rid of ads to help the brand’s mobile phones become more attractive to new customers.

The rumor comes from the celebrity translated website MyDrivers. chinese chalk🇧🇷 It looks like this is an attempt to attract people who have never thought of owning a Xiaomi and follows a trend we saw at the start of MIUI 13.

MIUI 13 has already greatly reduced the bloatware that comes with Xiaomi devices, pre-installed apps that people usually never use. According to GizChina, the Xiaomi 12 in Chiva came with fewer installed apps than Samsung devices or iPhones. So MIUI 14 should further reduce bloatware and contain no system ads to help.

MIUI ads appear in some Xiaomi apps and affect users in different ways. Apparently, they appear on cheaper phones and will be more often in emerging markets as well. It seems like a way to offset the competitive prices of the brand’s cheaper mobile phones.

New system coming soon with news

That said, MIUI 14 shouldn’t stop its appeal for bloatware reduction and ad removal. The new version of Xiaomi’s operating system should make several improvements to utilities such as clock and weather app updates. A “file” mode is also expected to aid interaction between mobile phones and desktop computers.

The information is not official yet, but there is little to confirm or deny. We expect the new Xiaomi 13 series to be launched at the end of this month, in November, and the official launch of MIUI 14 will take place at the same time.
