iPhone 14 owners have become the first users to experience blocks when activating Hotspot, VoWiFi and VoLTE in Russia.

All of these features are not enabled automatically and therefore do not work by default. Operators were unable to quickly configure these options for new generation iPhones.

Can any of this be turned on at night? We understand.

What is this function anyway?

If everything is clear with the Modem Mode, then there are questions about other functions. So:

VoWiFi (Wi-Fi calls): the function allows you to receive calls via Wi-Fi where the usual network does not catch

VoLTE: communication technology that allows you to communicate in 4G/LTE networks; Improve sound quality and use the Internet simultaneously in 3G networks

How to enable Tethering and VoLTE

Each user has their own data, so restaurants for most of them. Enter information into the menu Settings -> Cellular -> Carrier Name -> Cellular Data Network.

MTS

Access point: internet.mts.ru
Username: mts
Password: mts

Megaphone

Username: gdata
Password: gdata

beeline

Tele 2

As soon as you enter these data into the settings, the iPhone immediately has the opportunity to enable Hotspot Mode. Also in the section Settings -> Cellular -> Voice & Data a toggle switch will appear to activate VoLTE (tested on MegaFon and MTS). There is currently no other method.

Unfortunately, you cannot enable VoWiFi on iPhone 14 in Russia. MegaFon has a free eMotion app that allows you to make VoWiFi calls. And MTS has “My Connect”.
