Yesterday, Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. And although the device has not officially appeared yet, Geekbench has already protested an unknown Vivo smartphone with this chip.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 scored 1483 in the single-core test and 4709 in the multi-core test. Compared with the Apple A16 processor found in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, the image result is desirable.

The A16 achieves a Geekbench score of 1874 in the single-core test and 5372 in the multi-core test.

Even the A15 chip found in the iPhone 13 and 14 scores 1724 in the single-core test. In the multi-core test, it loses, but with a return of 4587 points.

In its press release, Qualcomm stated that “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will revolutionize the flagship smartphone market in 2023.” The new processor is 35% more powerful than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 40% more energy efficient. [DealNTech]
