Ekaterina Aleksandrova, daughter of the founder of the Rostagroexport company and creator of B.Yu. Aleksandrov” by Boris Aleksandrov, will launch a new dairy plant in 2023 and produce glazed curd “B.Yu. Alexandrov” and other products.

Daughter of the founder of B.Yu. Aleksandrov will launch a new production of cheese curds under this brand

Alexandrova told Forbes about her plans. She hopes to launch the plant in the first half of 2023. Its capacity should be about 300 tons of raw milk processing per day.

Alexandrova did not say where the production will be located and how much it is planned to invest in it. She noted that an existing dairy plant will be purchased for the launch. The project will be financed by several other partners and investors, whose names are not disclosed.

The purchase of a company of such a capacity and the launch of its own production on this basis can cost at least a billion rubles, suggests Mikhail Burmistrov, director of INFOLine-Analytics.

The new plant will be engaged in the production of products using technologies developed during the life of Boris Aleksandrov. At the same time, “some ingredients”, according to Alexandrova, will change. It is planned to bring the products to large supermarket chains.

  • Boris Aleksandrov died on November 30, 2020. After his death, a corporate dispute began in the company. Rights to the brand “B.Yu. Alexandrov” and its sub-brands belonged to the founder, and shortly before his death, he gave them to his daughter Ekaterina.
  • In the same year, Aleksandrov’s daughter filed a lawsuit against Rostagrokompleks LLC. She demanded compensation for 1.49 billion rubles in losses due to unpaid royalties and illegal use of the brand. According to Alexandrova, to date, the total amount of her claims against the company has approached 7 billion rubles.
