Sand is the world’s most mined hard material and the second most naturally occurring resource after water, but unlike water, its consumption is unchecked. 50 billion tons of sand are used annually. There are already reports of a sandy black market. The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has published a new report saying that the sand crisis has been “overlooked” and that to achieve sustainable development it is necessary to change the consumption of this material in the absorption of the circular economy.

Sand seems to be found – underfoot, in walls, in pockets… glass is molten sand; about the same lies in one silicon, which plays an important role in the technology industry, including remote production. In the region, the world demand for sand is exposing ru.

It has been present in nature for thousands of years, it originates in the mountains and is formed while the rivers take an eye. Sand not only gives pleasure to beach lovers and helps build cities, but also plays a key role in ecology, surrounding the environment for many species of living beings. When sand is sourced from ecologically responsible areas, it damages biodiversity and causes the latter

Of course, there is nothing cleaner and cheaper. UNEP wants to see an international standard for its consumption, to expand its consumption from collecting global consumption, and also to find alternatives to this material. Developers need an incentive to move away from sand and use crushed stone, recycled building materials or ore sand instead, to name a few.

As the developing world grows, so does the sand market. India, Indonesia, China and other countries will be affected the most by this crisis. China, for example, knows about more about the total volume of sand consumption in the world, and this is more than about 100% of the total. In fact, our world is built on sand. The sand crisis has come and it’s going nowhere get away.
