Neutron stars. The secret of the inner core has been revealed: they are like chocolates

The neutron stars looks like Chocolate in which a soft filling or a crunchy hazelnut may be hidden. The secret of them internal structure is revealed from the outside a million math equations written to simulate the characteristics of these extremely compact and dense objects.

Neutron stars are formed as a result of dead of a star, enclosing in a sphere with a diameter equal to that of a great city a mass even greater than that of the Sun. The research has been published in the journal The Astrophysical Journal Letters and was conducted by researchers at theGoethe University from Frankfurt, coordinated by the Italian Luciano Rezzolla.

Simulating the internal conditions of such a star is a very complex challenge as it is very difficult to replicate them laboratory. As a result, more than a million equations have been developed based on the astronomical observationsto describe these objects.

So it turned out that according to them mass these stars have different characteristics: under the 1.7 solar masses they appear to have a hard core and a soft coat, while in larger masses the opposite is true: hard coat or soft coat.

Neutron stars apparently behave a bit like chocolate pralines. The lighter varieties resemble chocolate with a hazelnut in the center surrounded by soft chocolate, while the heavier chocolate resembles chocolate with a hard layer and a soft filling.
