Last night I installed only the released Vampire Survivors. For some reason, it took a long time to load for the first time and display a purple-gray screen. It was in full lighting, the screen brightness is below average.
I took a closer look at the screen. And he was surprised. I took a screenshot just in case.
Useful to watch in the application A photowhether it was found. Zoomed in on the picture. Well, I understood everything.
I have been using my iPhone 13 Pro Max since November 2021, which is just over 12 months. It was not under repair, did not experience any extreme or unusual conditions of use.
But in the glass of its OLED screen, apparently, the halos of elements that are constantly displayed on the display are permanently imprinted:
► the name of the operator, albeit very blurry
► battery icons set
► the first three “sticks” of the strength of the signal reception of the cellular network
► Wi-Fi signal along with “LTE” outlines, connecting both channels at the same place.
It was not very easy to shoot all this on camera, there was no second iPhone at hand. I tried to do this with a regular camera, sorry for the noise.
I have never noticed before, but in the usual form, like a completely white or black background, such outlines are not visible. But, as they say, it’s a start. Further all this will be slowly clearer.
Morality? Firstly, you can check the screen of your iPhone on the burn-in of these surface elements by downloading and opening this image in low ambient light conditions:
❗️ Download picture to test the display (81 Kb)
It is possible to reduce the screen brightness by about 25% so that the halos are more noticeable.
And secondly, looking at the endurance of the iPhone 13 Pro Max OLED screen, I somehow thought about our ultimate perspective, which is always present in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. If there are burn-in resistance modules, then all elements of the screen are also printed in the same way, aren’t they?
Obviously, the problem of vulnerability, we still rarely use iPhones for more than a couple of years. But I mean, it’s actually possible costs.
