In this way, companies will move some of their export volumes from their Chinese factories to India. Indian-made products are likely to be sold in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Experts believe that Chinese companies can do this for several reasons. First, a stricter policy on investment from China, and second, the Indian Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
