The department said that the report would be comparable across Europe. It can be submitted to the State Duma in the first quarter of 2023, said Maksut Shadayev, head of the Ministry of Digital Development.
Also, the review will spell out the requirement to be able to pay for applications without the Apple payment system.
On November 1, at the first sign of the Digital Markets Act, Apple is about to comply. iOS 17 is expected to introduce the ability to install apps without the App Store. It will only work in Europe, but Apple may expand the geography of its work if laws are passed in other countries. [РИА Новости]
