THEM apple recently expanded its availability iPhone 14 line satellite emergency for more countries. The list of regions that can use the device’s SOS is still short, but it is now reaching countries in Europe. Added France, England, Ireland and Germany to service.
The iPhone 14’s satellite emergency SOS service allows you to call the country’s emergency service using a satellite connection using any device on the line updated to iOS 16.1 – in case the device has no cellular signal or Wi-Fi. The feature, which was first made available in the USA and Canada, is currently only available in 6 locations, adding European countries.
The feature, which is free to anyone who buys an iPhone 14-line device for the first two years, will be charged monthly by Apple after this period, but how much it will be has not yet been announced.

SOS can be connected to collision and fall detection
Satellite emergency calling can be associated with other safety features on mobile phones and Apple Watches, for example, to automatically call for help using collision and fall detection tools. You can also use the satellite link to share your location with your family through the Find My app, even in a non-emergency situation.
The resource also has a demo mode so that the user knows exactly how the interface works and can act more precisely if there really is an emergency. Apple has promised to expand its availability to more countries next year.
