The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, proposed to allow the use of software by foreign companies that left Russia “with violations of international politics.”
According to analysts, this year more than half of Russian companies were left without renewing international agreements with foreign software developers. Either they are protected without technical support, or they are faced with a critical increase in the cost of securities and services.
We must create such conditions if a business can use foreign software on which it has translated its processes. The business is not to blame for the fact that the developer left the country and cannot renew the license. We should create a separate mechanism for bona fide users.
Our position is to allow its use with the removal of violations (which is the responsibility for cancellation for users if the foreign company refused to renew the arrest). These funds are transferred to them. It is important that this is not uncontrolled and not to the detriment of domestic software. We discuss the mechanics, the task is to find a balance. We must find a compromise.
