Yandex CEO Arkady Volozh announced his departure, leaving the company after 25 years of work in it.
He stated this on the company’s external portal and spoke about national plans.
Let’s clarify where I am and what I am. As you know, I have not managed Yandex for a long time, and this year I had to give up all positions in the company. In modern conditions, it seems to me, it is quite reasonable and necessary. I am still interested in living with advice on four RIAC start-ups, which include participants outside the Yandex holding.
In the hustle and bustle of the last months, I never said goodbye to you. The New Year is a good opportunity to fix this. I have a lot to say to you, but for now I will limit myself to just a few phrases.
Yandex is the project of my life. And not only mine. All these 30 years we have made it together – from scratch, in the face of global competition, striving to open up and behave honestly.
Thank you to everyone who built and built the country’s independent technology company. I love and hug you all. I miss you very much.
