VK intends to increase investments in cybersecurity by 2.5 times next year, as well as increase the staff of IT specialists responsible for this segment. This year, the company repelled all cyber attacks on its services: the RuStore application store was the most massive.
Alexey Volkov, Vice President of the company, spoke about VK’s plans to increase the budget for information security in 2023. According to him, investments in this segment of activity will grow 2.5 times over 2022.
Volkov also said that in 2023 VK intends to increase the staff of IT specialists responsible for cybersecurity, but did not specify the details. According to Volkov, more than 100 cybersecurity specialists have joined VK in the last two quarters.
VK also noted that they had repelled all cyber attacks on the company’s services this year. The RuStore app store was the target of the most massive attacks, but the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki took over most of the attacks, Volkov specified.
