Megafon closed the deal to buy oneFactor, which develops analytical services based on artificial intelligence (AI). The amount of the transaction is not disclosed. This was reported to RB.RU in the MegaFon press service.
The agreement will allow the telecom operator to strengthen its expertise in the field of big data and offer new solutions to subscribers and businesses.
According to the results of the transaction, Megafon received 100% of One Factor LLC (oneFactor). The company creates analytical services based on artificial intelligence for banks, insurance companies, e-commerce, retail and tourism.
Among the company’s developments are risk assessment services, lead generation for the development of trade and business of companies, geoanalytics in the field of tourism and the urban environment, and other products using big data.
oneFactor will reportedly retain all current contracts and continue to work with external partners after the deal closes.
According to the Kontur.Fokus system, the seller was YueSeM Telecom LLC (part of Alisher Usmanov’s USM, which also owns MegaFon).
The legal entity oneFactor was formed in July 2010. The company’s revenue in 2021 amounted to 11.4 billion rubles (against 792 million in 2020), net profit – 898.6 million rubles (against 335, 6 million in 2020).
