There are quite a few products that increase sex drive. In other words, such products are called aphrodisiacs. According to the Pharmacognosy Review, aphrodisiacs may include foods or medications that increase libido (sex drive).

Here are the products you should pay attention to.

  1. oysters. It’s high in zinc, according to Lisa Young, a member of the Eat This, Not That Medical Advisory Board. It is known that this mineral can affect testosterone production. Also, this product is rich in omega-3s that improve blood flow, erectile function and testicular function. Additionally, zinc is known to increase dopamine levels, and there is a link between dopamine and improved erections.

  1. pistachios. A small study published in the International Journal of Impotence Research found that pistachios may have aphrodisiac-like properties. But only 17 men participated in this study, so more evidence is needed for this effect of pistachios. At the same time, after three weeks, the participants improved their erectile function.

  2. Poppy. A small scientific article published in the First International Journal of Andrology states that after 12 weeks, men given Maca reported an increase in sexual desire and overall sexual well-being. Another study looked at postmenopausal women who had decreased libido due to antidepressants. Thanks to Maca, they managed to get rid of this problem.

  3. red ginseng. According to scientific research, this plant has many positive properties. Including the ability to strengthen heart health, immunity, antioxidant effect, increase libido. A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that three capsules of red ginseng daily helped increase sexual arousal in participants. Other studies have shown that this herb improves erectile dysfunction and slows premature ejaculation.

  4. strawberry. They contain a large number of flavonoids (blackberries are especially rich in them), which allows men to maintain an erection. Additionally, the Pharmacognosy Review study states that flavonoids improve sperm quality.
