In & Motion’s airbag deployment technology is based on In&box, an electronic module containing all sensors and control hardware. The block analyzes 1000 times per second using algorithmic logic to detect and predict falls and activate a trip.

The company’s goal is to reduce the risk of head injury by 80% compared to a single protection bike helmet. The company claims that the airbag deploys in less than a tenth of a second after the fall is detected to begin. Additionally, the backpack is paired with a smartphone app, so you can automatically contact emergency services in case an airbag deploys and direct them to your GPS coordinates if needed.
