The former subsidiary of the owner of the KFC restaurant chain applied to Rospatent for the registration of the Rostic’s trademark. The brand will allow Unirest to provide cafeteria services, sell food and beverages.
The Moskva agency informs about the receipt of an application for registration of the Rostic trademark by Rospatent with reference to the supporting documents at its disposal.
From the text of the application it is clear that the mark will allow to provide cafeteria services, work for food delivery, produce and sell traditional chicken dishes for KFC restaurants, as well as beverages.
The Rosspatent application was filed by Unirest LLC, a former Russian subsidiary of the American Yum! Brands, which owned the Russian restaurant chain KFC. Previously, the company was called Yam! International Restaurants Russia CIA S, but changed its name in November 2022.
The sale of KFC’s Russian business to the local franchisee became known on October 25, 2022. A month later, the FAS approved the deal, allowing Smart Service LLC to become the owner of 70 restaurants and the franchisor of 1,058 associated establishments.
