The owner of “Beeline” – “Vymplekom” – filed a lawsuit against the Bank of Russia. The operator decided to challenge the regulator’s decision on bond payments from foreign companies.
The court admitted the claim for processing and set a preliminary hearing in the case for February 13, according to data from the Arbitration Case File (CAD).
The operator was denied provisional relief in its application: VimpelCom asked the court to suspend the disputed clause from the bank’s explanations. Vedomosti was the first to pay attention to court decisions.
Representatives of the operator and the central bank declined to comment on the proceeding. The lawyers associate Beeline’s claims against the Central Bank with the Eurobonds of the owner of the operator, the Dutch holding company Veon.
