Russians will be able to delete their personal data through the Gosuslugi portal, such functionality is being developed by the Ministry of Digital Development.
“Such functionality is currently being developed and will soon be operational. This is also a very convenient option, because we do not always remember to whom and when we gave our data, ”said Anton Gorelkin, deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, in an interview with the Parliamentary Newspaper.
In December 2022, the State Duma adopted a law on a unified biometric system that prohibits the forced collection of such material. The law also prohibits discrimination against those who refuse to provide their biometric data.
You can withdraw consent to the processing of your biometric data through the “Gosuslugi”, you can refuse to send such data if you submit a request to the MFC.
