The new study included data from popular platforms from the 1990s and 2000s, such as GeoCities, Nexopia, LiveJournal, and MySpace.

The problem is that if the data produced on social networks is not deleted intentionally, it can be stored on the Internet for a very long time. Typically, when a website or platform dies or is shut down, data decisions are made temporarily by company employees.
