Chinese search giant Baidu has begun developing an analogue of ChatGPT: an artificial intelligence-based multitasking chat bot, Bloomberg writes, citing sources.

The “Chinese Google” will launch its own version of ChatGPT

Baidu is about to launch an AI-based chatbot similar to the popular OpenAI ChatGPT. The basis of the system will be Ernie’s machine learning model. Baidu shares rose 5.8% on the news.

According to Bloomberg, the company intends to launch the new app in March 2023. There is no name for it yet. The company hopes to incorporate it into its main search services. The tool will work similar to ChatGPT. Users will be able to receive answers to their questions in a dialog mode.

The ChatGPT chatbot works in a dialog box format. The interface of the web page consists only of a field to enter a request and a window where the response of the neural network will be displayed. Applications can be entered in different languages. The possibilities of ChatGPT can be used in various areas of life, for example, to create basic program code.
