Alexander Kotilevsky, who was appointed responsible for the localization of Russian personal data in the company in 2019, was appointed as the new CEO.

According to the expert, the change of head indicates that Apple plans to move away from breaking the law and possible penalties in the future for refusing to localize the data of Russians in Russia. For this, in July 2022, the company was fined 2 million rubles.
