In 2022, Samsung became the sales leader in the Russian secondary market. Their share was 35.5%. This may be due to a wider range of models in various price categories.

Named leader in refurbished smartphone sales in Russia

Apple devices are in the second line: 28%, and Xiaomi closes the top 3: 15%, according to the Megafon report, which RIA Novosti has read.

At the end of the year, the Russians switched to Android smartphones. Analysts suggested that the decline in interest in the American brand is due to the saturation of the Russian market with new Apple smartphones after its short-term shortage.

However, the most popular model was Apple’s iPhone 7. It turned out to be the cheapest of the line on the secondary market. The top 5 also included two more Apple models: iPhone 8 and iPhone XR, followed by Samsung Galaxy A10 and Xiaomi Redmi 9A.

Megafon said that top-end models are most often bought on the secondary market, but budget models are also popular, for example, last year many people bought Huawei Y5p for less than 10 thousand rubles.
