Samsung introduced two laptops at the Galaxy Unpacked presentation: Galaxy Book3 and Book3 Ultra. They will compete with the MacBook Air and Pro.
The company says the Galaxy Book3 laptops look like the kind of PC for those who want power and the ability to seamlessly purchase multiple devices.
Samsung Galaxy Book3
The Galaxy Book3 lineup consists of two models: Galaxy Book3 Pro and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360.
The Galaxy Book3 Pro is either 14″ or 16″ while the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is only sold with a 16″ display that can flip 360 degrees.
Both laptops are powered by 13th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors. You can choose from 8GB, 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5 RAM. The base model comes with a 256GB SSD, which can be upgraded up to 1TB. There is support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G.
OLED screens in laptops have a resolution of 2880 x 1800, regardless of the diagonal, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a brightness of 400 nits and 500 nits for HDR, and a frequency of 120 Hz.
There are possible connectors on the sides of the Galaxy Book3: two USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, a microSD slot, USB-A 3.2, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The laptops run Windows 11 and have an S Pen style.
The basic version of the Galaxy Book3 Pro costs $1449 or ~100 thousand rubles, and the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 costs $1899 or ~132 rubles collected. On sale from February 17th.
Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra
The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra features a 16-inch 120Hz OLED screen with 2880 x 1800 perception, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 400 nits of brightness.
Productivity 13th generation Intel Core processors: i7 or i9. The younger version is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics, and the older version is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics. Two RAM options are available: 16 or 32 GB.
The base version comes with a 512GB SSD, which can be upgraded up to 1TB. The laptop also has a PCIe slot for installing an SSD.
The device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. The laptop is running Windows 11.
The Galaxy Book3 Ultra includes AKG studio and quality audio microphones.
There are several connectors on the case: two USB-C with Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, a microSD slot, USB-A 3.2 and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The base model costs $2399 or ~166 thousand rubles. the maximum value will cost $2999 or ~208 thousand rubles. The start date of sales is unknown.
All GalaxyBook 3 laptops suddenly detect the Samsung Multi Control feature. It allows you to control Samsung smartphones using track and keyboard. You can also use it to move files between applications and copy text.
The Second Screen feature turns the Galaxy Tab into an additional monitor. Works similarly with Mac and iPad.
