Linktree has added new monetization options to help creators monetize directly on the platform. There are three new settings that will allow you to receive direct donations or create integrated links with SendOwl or Bonfire sites.
The direct donation feature is called “Buy Me a Gift”, an instant financial aid a fan can do to their favorite creator via Linktree. The website owner can choose from different emojis that appear as a thank you, depending on the amount donated.
To receive donations like this, the creator must link their Linktree to a PayPal or Square account, and site staff will not charge for these donations for a limited time.
The other two options are SendOwl or Bonfire. In the first, the creator can download audiobooks, videos, images, software, courses, etc., from one’s SendOwl. can create a loop of up to 10 items that can be navigated directly on the Linktree page by selecting products such as
In the case of Bonfire, Linktree will add a kind of “mini-store” to the site with the products of the person at Bonfire, making it easy to sell the creator’s products directly on the page.
More value for creators
Linktree quickly became popular with content creators because it offers a page where they can create a list of all the websites and social networks they can be found on and/or produce content on. The new monetization options are ways Linktree continues to earn more from their services while providing more value to creators.
A fourth monetization option has been beta tested by the platform called “Payment Lock”. The idea is to allow creators to create “locked” links that can only be accessed by users paying a certain amount. This allows you to create paid links to sites and platforms that don’t usually offer the option.
