Of course, if you drink sugary drinks from time to time, then everything will be fine. However, their frequent use significantly increases the risk of hair loss in men by 42%.

A research team from Tsinghua University examined the relationship between male pattern baldness and consumption of sugary drinks. The authors surveyed more than a thousand men and instructed them to drink 1 to 3 liters of sugary beverage each week. They found that higher consumption was significantly associated with higher risks of baldness.

In addition, consumption of sugary drinks is significantly associated with obesity, weight gain, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic liver disease, kidney disease, dental caries, arthritis and gout.
