I’ve been using the iPhone 14 Pro for six months now. The smartphone is very wonderful, but there is one problem that many device owners complain about.
Starting with iOS 16.1, most animations start to slow down from scratch. this is usually observed when the iPhone starts to heat up, but in some cases, even “cold” twitching is observed.
It does not manifest itself as a habit. It seems that everything is drawn smoothly, but either they redirect or do not direct my actions, or they just hang, or just slow down. It got to the point where I even saw the image for a fraction of a second.
This is not noticeable only on the desktop, but also in applications – both standard and external.
On Reddit, many users write that this is an unusual problem. At the same time, it is not solved not only by rebooting (this helps in English), but also by completely resetting the device.
Here are some examples:
Example 1A: iPhone 14 Pro Max lags when I switch apps or go to the home screen. I’m lonely?
Happens from time to time. Restarting seems to help a little, but eventually everything comes back. Tried to reset and restore but no luck. I’m on iOS 16.0.2 (20A4380), but this has been happening since I got a smartphone with iOS 16.0.
Example 2: My 14 is also slow. To the point that for a fraction of a second I see the background drawn before the buttons appear on the on-screen keyboard. This happens randomly. Also when opening apps or swiping up to go to the home screen. On one of my previous iPhones. Very disappointing.
Example 3: iPhone 14 Pro Max 16.1 beta 3 touch angle issue
Is there anyone who has this same issue with general touch screen lag?
The reason for this strange behavior is unknown. The presence or absence of widgets is not striking, performance problems continue.
There is a chance that the problem lies in the operation of the sensitive screen, which independently changes the refresh rate from 1 to 60/120 Hz (depending on the power saving mode). Some error blocks the correct use of data on the smartphone and causes it to turn off hertz.
But perhaps there are other reasons as well. Apple has yet to comment on the situation.
Are there such “sufferers”? Tell your family about it.
