VkusVill began to test a new format for its cafes, now these are separate spaces with a wide selection of culinary products and drinks. The first VkusVill Go stores have already been opened in Moscow, the network’s press service said.
The retail chain has been developing its own cafeteria project since 2019. Now there are 289 VkusVill stores in the Russian Federation with a separate cafeteria area. In these spaces, patrons can sip coffee, pick up desserts, or heat up a prepared lunch.
VkusVill Go is a fundamentally new format, the company notes. The stores are not part of the store and are located in separate premises. Cooking in them is sold by weight, and not in the form of ready-made sets. The VkusVill Go menu has 130 items, these are main dishes, drinks, salads and desserts, the assortment was selected taking into account the preferences of customers in the cafeteria area in the chain’s stores.
“Now we offer our guests complete meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wide variety and the possibility of combining your menu for all tastes: steamed fish with asparagus or pasta with chicken and cream sauce or chops without meat with vegetable salad or shakes with L-carnitine before training,” said Natalya Krokhova, one of the project leaders.
To work in a new format, a free-flow system was introduced at the institution, involving an open kitchen and self-service. The further development of the project will depend on the interest of the clients.
Previously, VkusVill announced plans to develop the coffee sales business. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the network has installed more than 80 hot drink machines.
