Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch date of its latest phone model, the Xiaomi 13 Pro. First introduced in China, the smartphone will debut its worldwide version on February 26 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The information was confirmed by the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, and its branch in India. The method Jun used to confirm the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s global release date, navigating the popularity of ChatGPT on Twitter, is noteworthy:

The event will be broadcast live on Xiaomi’s official page and social media accounts. The presentation starts at 1 am (Brazilian time).

Xiaomi 13 Pro technical specifications are known

Since the Xiaomi 13 Pro made its debut in China, we know its initial specs. The device has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as you’d expect, with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. These components are below the 6.73” LTPO OLED display with QHD resolution up to 120Hz frequency. The display is certified with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision seals in addition to a fingerprint sensor underneath.

In terms of cameras, we have a triple set of sensors, 50.3MP main, 50MP telephoto and 50MP ultra-wide, with Leica lenses on the back. Powering all this, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 4,820 mAh battery that provides fast charging up to 120 W via cable or 50 W by induction.

These specifications refer to the original model released in China. We are eagerly awaiting whether there will be any changes in the global version of the device, which we will learn on February 26.
