The State Duma forced trucks to queue electronically to cross the state border

The State Duma approved in the third final reading a bill on an electronic queue for crossing the state border of Russia. Those who will cross the border in trucks for international transport were required to register in advance to travel, although it was originally planned to introduce a rule for all modes of transport.

Registration in the queue will be free, it can be done in the state information system for electronic transport documents. Registration may be denied if the carrier does not provide the necessary documents.

The initiators of the adoption of the bill was the government of the Russian Federation. The State Duma believes that the introduced measure will reduce queues at checkpoints on the state border, traffic jams in which reach 10-15 km.
