The Yadro Group (Yadro; part of ICS Holding) plans to launch smartphones under the Kvadra brand on the Russian market. Production may start in Dubna at the end of 2024, Kommersant learns.

The company is preparing, among other things, to launch the production of printed circuit boards for smartphones and, in the future, to switch to using its own processor on the open RISC-V architecture.

The publication’s interlocutors note that Yadro will be able to master the production of printed circuit boards for smartphones, but this will require unique specialists who can supply and configure equipment.

  • In May 2023, Yadro announced the start of production of a line of tablets under the Kvadra brand. The first devices were shown at the exhibition “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” on May 31. Tablets are also produced at the Dubna plant, the cost of the flagship model is 39.9 thousand rubles. The devices are based on the KVADRA OS mobile operating system based on the Android open source project.
