In Russia, there are now 6.5 million self-employed workers, by the end of the year their number may grow to 10 million people, analysts of the Nimix service predict. The total income of employees of this format of work in 2022 amounted to 125.8 billion rubles.
Representatives of other freelance platforms agreed with the forecast. Up to 70% of those who responded to the Ventra Go! ready to work “for themselves,” Kommersant reported.
The growth in the number of self-employed will be facilitated both by the greater interest in this format on the part of employees, and by the persistence of the current desire of employers in precarious conditions to hire employees for temporary projects.
A further increase in the number of self-employed workers may also occur at the expense of citizens who have left: self-employed status can be obtained without being in Russia, but by providing services to Russian clients.
Now, according to the SuperJob analysis center, one in five Russian companies (20%) already uses the services of freelancers. In most cases, autonomous companies from the fields of logistics, construction and services are attracted.
