The production of electric vehicles in Russia in 2023 will grow twice as fast as planned. At the same time, the installation of chargers for them, on the contrary, from these rates.

In 2022, 439 fast electric charging stations (FPSs) were installed in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov noted. The power of such a station is 150 kW, which allows you to charge an average electric car by 80% in about half. The power of slow EZS is 44 kW, charging time up to 40% is at least 2 hours.

In 2023, according to Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin, in 2023, 872 fast EZSs were put into operation in 39 regions.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, about 2,000 electric vehicles were built in Russia last year. These are mainly Chinese Dongfeng, which are produced by Motorinvest in Lipetsk under the Evolute brand. This year, the production of electric cars will grow 9 times, up to 18,000 units.

The growth dynamics of sales of electric vehicles is primarily due to the implementation of support measures aimed at developing the electric transport industry and stimulating consumption as part of initiatives.

In total, by the end of 2024, at least 25,000 electric vehicles were produced in Russia and at least 9,400 chargers were put into operation, 2,900 of which were fast. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, there are currently 7,560 EZS installed in Russia, of which 1,190 are fast, and the fleet of electric vehicles is 24,500 units. [Ведомости]
