Avito became the owner of the Roomberry service, which provides a single database of proposals for new buildings in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as in the regions. The service has acted as a technology partner of Avito Nedvizhimost for several years.
The changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, to which Interfax drew attention, indicate that Avito’s main legal entity, Kekh Ekommerts LLC, became the owner of 100% of the shares of Rumberi LLC. As a result of the transaction, Roomberry CEO Mikhail Khaykin, who owned 60.48% of the company, and Valentina Bochkova, who owned the remaining 39.52%, left the project.
As the agency writes, the service is being consolidated for the Avito Real Estate project, the financial details of the transaction are not disclosed. Avito’s press service said that Roomberry employees will continue to support and develop the platform.
In 2021, the service’s revenue amounted to 116.1 million rubles, three times more than the results of 2020. Roomberry’s net profit for 2021 is estimated at 6.6 million rubles.
In the fall of 2022, the structures of the Kismet Capital Group group of the former CEO of Megafon Ivan Tavrin bought the Avito service from the Dutch Prosus. The deal was valued at $2.4 billion.
