New product alert in the region! Compaq, a North American brand licensed in Brazil by Positivo Tecnologia, today announced the launch of its new (14) Compaq 5000 Snapdragon laptop model. The product comes as the first product to feature the second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c in the domestic market and has one of the longest battery lifetimes compared to other models.
The Compaq 5000 Snapdragon, which is in the middle specification category, has technologies that are also valued in smartphones. Among them is ARM, an example of efficient technology often used in mobile phones for lower energy consumption. Because it is lighter and simpler, ARM lets you perform tasks more efficiently than the X86 processors commonly used in laptops.
Meanwhile, the use of ARM processor instead of X86 in the Compaq 5000 Snapdragon allows the new notebook to be used for up to 15 hours in daily activities without the need to connect to electricity. This means about twice as long as the autonomy of many other devices on the market.
Additionally, Compaq’s new product features “Instant-On”, a feature that lets you boot or boot your laptop faster almost instantly. The technology, in this sense, allows to leave the computer in the “sleep” state and turn it back on in a few seconds.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen2 processor found in the new Compaq laptop is a computing platform equipped with an octa-core Kryo 468 processor. In other words, it has eight cores that can go up to 2.55 GHz.
Finally, the Compaq 5000 Snapdragon also features a 15.6-inch LCD display, storage capacities up to 128GB and 256GB, 4GB and 8GB RAM memory as well as a camera for high resolution images with white LED backlight. It weighs only 1.63 kg.
