Popular Chinese insider Digital Chat Station has revealed that this is due to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 arriving earlier than expected. And while it doesn’t give a specific launch date, it’s expected to happen around the end of October.
Interestingly, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was introduced in November 2022, about two weeks before its predecessor. The leaker also claims that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 based smartphones will launch in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Recall that an insider previously reported that Qualcomm’s new high-end processor will offer up to 25% increase in processor performance compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. power efficiency.
