At the moment, the aircraft is assembled in Lukhovitsy, work is underway, prototypes are being completed.
Interestingly, the Il-114 turboprop model was originally developed in the 1980s to replace the An-24 family of aircraft. The new version of the Il-114-300 with Russian TV7-117ST-01 engines made its maiden flight in 2020.
This particular vehicle is expected to be a popular choice for Russian domestic airlines due to its short take-off and landing capabilities, making it ideal for smaller regional airports.
