CHS said the leak was linked to the use of a popular file transfer program developed by Fortra. CHS said Fortra had recently notified it of an incident that led to the unauthorized disclosure of patient data.

The company added that it would notify all affected individuals whose information was disclosed, but said there were no significant disruptions to patient care. CHS has not said what kind of data has been disclosed, and a company representative has yet to respond to a request from TechCrunch.
