According to a report on the Genbeta website, the Large Language Model (or LLM for those familiar with it) can be used for a wide variety of purposes and tasks. Open AI is able to create the most diverse video game levels, for example, through GPT-2!
Aptly named MarioGPT, the artificial intelligence learned the necessary parameters for this, thanks to the work of the developers who translated the relevant information into ASCII. In alphanumeric format the system was easier to interpret and the patterns quickly became clear.
The elegant model automatically filters between levels that can or cannot be completed, and with that, a system of every 250 created levels has already been able to complete 90% of them! Interestingly, the AI cannot distinguish between different types of enemies, at least for now.
Even if these limitations we mentioned prevent the machine from creating stages as well as real humans, at least today and for now, the simple fact that they can already create consistent levels with 90% usage is already something worth considering. it outlines promising horizons for itself and certainly for the future of computing!
