The dollar exchange rate on the morning of February 17, 2023 turned out to be more than 75 rubles: at 10:39 Moscow time, the value of the American currency was 75.06 rubles.
At the same time, Interfax analysts noted that at the opening of trading the ruble was “stable”.
The last time the dollar cost more than 75 rubles was April 25, 2022; then, its value on the Moscow Stock Exchange was 75.56 rubles. The all-time high was recorded on March 9, 2022, when the dollar rose to 120 rubles.
According to Egor Zhilnikov, an analyst at Promsvyazbank, the dollar is further supported by its appreciation globally against the currencies of developed and emerging economies.
