A new Windows 11 update will allow kill processes directly from the taskbar. The new feature promises to close frozen tasks forever in a much easier, faster and more intuitive way.
This and other news will be available on build 25300. Although there is no official release date, now available exclusively to the developers channel Windows Insider Program.
Making User’s Life Easier
By now, the user should be familiar with more advanced Windows tools to terminate stuck or unstable processes. The most common ways include: Use terminals like Windows PowerShell, CMD or refer to Windows Task Manager (CTRL + Shift + Esc).
Easier for the user
One downside of these features is that you usually have to scroll through all the services running in the Manager or the name of the executable process that needs to be terminated.
After the update, apps appearing in the taskbar can be terminated with the right-click context menu. It’s worth noting that deeper or background running services or programs will still rely on traditional methods.
Update cycles have become much less intermittent as Microsoft changed its update policy for Windows Insider subscribers. In this way, registered users Beta and Early Access will get this and other news in the coming weeks.
