Meta* CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of paid account verification for Facebook and Instagram**. The subscription price for web users will be $11.99, iOS: $14.99 per month.
Account verification is now available for residents of Australia and New Zealand. Soon, users from other countries will also be able to broadcast it. Zuckerberg did not provide other details.
- The microblogging service Twitter launched paid verification for its Blue subscription in November 2022. However, it soon suspended its registration due to an influx of spam accounts.
