The Federal Antimonopoly Service approves the sale of restaurants by the Polish franchisee of KFC

The FAS press service reported that the Polish group Amrest received approval from the antitrust service for the sale of its KFC business in Russia. The buyer of the business is the Russian Almira LLC.

Amrest Group developed a chain of KFC restaurants in Russia under the American Yum! brands. In December it was learned that the holding company intends to sell the business and expects to receive at least 100 million euros from the operation.

According to the FAS, 214 KFC restaurants in Russia belong to the Amrest Group.

“As a result of the transaction, they will become the property of the Almira company, which will determine the conditions for carrying out commercial activities in relation to these restaurants,” said the FAS.

The sale of restaurants will not affect the state of competition in the markets, the ministry said.
