One of the few markets where there is no economic recession, a young digitized population and a solvent audience concentration. <…> And personally, I really want to show the region / world all the best products of the Russian Federation, which I am very proud of, ”Sysoev commented on the deal.

YallaMarket was founded by Russian entrepreneurs Leonid Dovbenko and Stanislav Seleznev in August 2021. The service delivers groceries and consumer goods from their own dark shops within a 3 km radius in 15 to 30 minutes.

By January 2023, the startup has raised more than $12 million from Wamda Capital, Doha Tech Angels, Fry One Ventures, AngelsDeck, Dubai Angel Investors and others, according to the startup’s own data.

At the end of 2022, YallaMarket launched the YallaHub logistics service, which allows Russian brands that want to enter the UAE e-commerce market to use the company’s infrastructure.

Alexander Sysoev actively invests in food technology projects. In December 2022, he acquired a minority stake in the Russian wellness brand re-feel. The investment amount was approximately $100 thousand. In May of the same year, Sysoev invested in the manufacturer of Plan + B vegetable drinks.
