The host of the YouTube channel Quke.ru talked about two expensive Samsung smartphones: S22 and S23. These devices actually have more similarities than differences. For the most part, they differ from each other in processors.
There are two versions of the S22 smartphone: with different processors (Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1). There is only one version of the S23: with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Outwardly, the devices differ from each other only in the design of the camera block (and the camera features are almost the same).
The screens are also installed on the S22 and S23 and are almost identical. The only difference is the glass manufacturing technology.
The undisputed leader in terms of processor is the Galaxy S23. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is much cooler, more energy efficient and more powerful than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200. However, it is unlikely that you will notice the difference in daily smartphone use. However, it becomes obvious once you start installing the device: install various applications on it, record, watch videos, take photos, play something. And this difference is really huge.
The capacity of the S22 battery is 3700 mA.h at S23 – 3900 MAh.Overall, the Galaxy S23 lasts an average of 40-50% longer than its predecessor. At the end of the day, with active use, the charge of the S23 reached 30% and the charge of the S22 reached 0%.
Everything is the same for both devices in terms of charging speed. The maximum charging power they support is 25W. They charge fully in 1 hour and 15 minutes, and in 30 minutes the device is at 50% charge somewhere. Both smartphones have 15W wireless charging support. However, there is no charger in either case.

The selfie camera is 10MP on the S22 and 12MP on the S23. The pictures of the new model are noticeably better: they are lighter, with more details visible on them. Video recording from the front camera also works more smoothly on the Galaxy S23.
The main cameras of the devices are exactly the same in terms of features. This is a 50 MP main module, 12 MP – ultra-wide, 10 MP – telephoto lens. And in terms of photos and videos from the main lens, the S23 is also superior to the S22, the absence of noise is especially noticeable in the new version. You can see sample photos above.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 is still a very relevant smartphone. It has high performance, works very fast, has a good camera, screen, mount, moisture protection, wireless charging. All this at a really high level. But it loses a lot to the S23 in terms of autonomy. If you have enough money and want to buy a compact flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S23 will look more interesting.
